About us

The presented scholarly edition belongs to N(N)LE Tariel Putkaradze International Society of Kartvelology (Abreviation:  TPISK , hereinafter referred to as the Society is a non-profit (non-commercial) legal entity established in accordance with the Civil Code of Georgia, based on membership.  

The goals of the Society's activities are:
• Preparing and publishing the scholarly heritage of Professor Tariel Putkaradze;

• Participating in the internationalization and development of the scientific journal “Actual Problems of Kartveloloy (ISSN: 1987-930X)” founded by Professor Tariel Putkaradze, preparing and publishing the next issues of the scholarly journal `"Actual Problems of Kartveloloy";

  • Promoting conferences (seminars);
    • Supporting topical issues in the fields of Kartvelology;
  • Consultation and Promoting the internationalization of scholarly journals and individual publications of members of the society in accordance with the legislation in force in Georgia;
    • Developing cultural and educational programs;
    • Conducting public lectures;
    • Expanding and strengthening relations with local self-government bodies and joint implementation of cultural and educational projects;
    • Strengthening library ties;
  • Participation in scholarly grant competitions for the development of Kartvelological research;
  • Cooperation with local and international organizations;
  • Organizing courses in Georgian as a state language, Georgian as a heritage language, and Georgian as a foreign language;
  • The Society also carries out any activities permitted by law that are not mentioned above, but do not contradict the goals of its activities and are permitted by the legislation in force in Georgia.

The TPISK scientific supervisor is Professor Manana Tabidze, Head of the Kartvelology Centre at St. Andrew the First-called University of Georgian Patriarchate.
