Emotional Intelligence as a Means of Successful Socialization of Elementary School Students

Abstract

The article examines the need for the development of emotional intelligence and its potential. The connections
between emotions and intelligence are shown. Emotional intelligence allows elementary school students to recognize their own
and understand the emotions of others, which ensures their effective communication. The conditions for compiling the
emotional intelligence development tool “Mood Square” and its use in the educational space of elementary school students are
discussed.
