The role of social media in the hotel industry

Abstract

The paper discusses the importance of social media in the hotel industry, which has grown during the Covid-19 pandemic. There are given the advantages of different social networks and the growth statistics of users. Finally, the following recommendations are suggested: If you are a hotel and focus more on business travelers, then you should be more active and visible on Twitter; If you focus on creating romantic situations for couples, then you should be active on Instagram; If your main guests are families, then you should be active on Facebook.
