Abstract
The scientific article presents the results of research and analysis of the functioning of the world and Georgian
securities markets. Based on the research results, relevant advice and recommendations necessary for the effective
development of the securities market are provided. The development process of the global securities market and its current
state are described. It has been established that the development of the modern world securities market, in addition to general
economic trends, is also characterized by specific trends that have a noticeable impact on the stock exchange and global
market capitalization. According to the World Federation of Exchanges 2019 report data, the classification of world countries
by stock market concentration is arranged as follows in terms of leadership: United States, Japan, United Kingdom, China,
France, Germany and Canada, Switzerland and Australia, and other countries. The article presents capitalization and
transaction data for the New York, Tokyo, and London stock exchanges, along with their current index values.
A certain part of the research and analysis in the article is devoted to the Georgian Stock Exchange, its establishment,
licensing, stock exchange infrastructure, index, companies operating in the stock exchange trading system, and total market
capitalization, investment environment. The article concludes with conclusions, recommendations, and advice that will lead
to increased market demand for shares, prices, and capitalization.
